And now, the rest of Fall Break! So my FB officially ends today. Alas, it is back to work tomorrow. I do have a really short week, though. I am off Friday as well to go with Joseph and his class on a field trip.
It's been an enjoyable 10 days (counting the weekends as well). After our wonderful trip to California at the start of break, we did lots of things in AZ for the remainder. I found lots of fun things online and we only got to do a few of them. So there is still much to do and explore when we've got some more time.

Firstly, we rewarded Larissa for being potty-trained with an outing to Chuck-E-Cheese. She had been asking for weeks and weeks or maybe even months, to go to CEC. We told her that if she went in the potty and no more diapers, we would take her to CEC as her reward. And so she worked hard and is potty trained! And she did so awesome with our trip to California wearing her big girl panties in the car and all over SeaWorld. She totally earned her CEC outing!!

My mom and sister came with me and the kids down to Tucson to go to the Sonora Desert Museum. I had been there once before (in 1995) and thought the kids would enjoy it. It's sorta like a zoo, museum and botanical garden rolled into one.

Lots of butterflys in the Butterfly Garden

Really nifty orange dragonfly!!
There is a chance of some wild animals roaming around, as it is in the open desert. So we came across a Gila Monster on the sidewalk. We didn't get too terribly close... After being at the museum for several hours and seeing just about everything we could there, we went and visited my grandma since she lives in Tuscon.
The kids playing in her backyard.

Larissa talking to great-grandma. Mainly about cats.
We also went to the local pumpkin patch this week and got some pumpkins to carve for Halloween...

And a trip to the Phoenix Zoo was in order on Saturday, as it was only 75 degrees !!!! YES!!!!!!!!!! With a lovely breeze as well !!!!

The kids looking at snake skin, learning about snakes, scorpians and millipeads.
In the children's section..
AND we went back to the local pumpkin patch a second time for a Halloween festival of sorts. They had a free petting zoo and free pony rides as well as some bouncy houses, the pumpkin patch and food if you got hungry.
Sara and a llama..
Joseph and Larissa and a baby goat- Larissa really liked the goat!
BUNNY!!!!!

Pony rides! We waited forever in line to get to the free pony rides, but it was totally worth it in the end! The kids LOVED the ponies the most! They wanted to ride again, but there was no way I was waiting in line forever again. But I loved watching them enjoy riding on the ponies!!

One fun-filled Fall Break week!!!! Now it's time to get back to reality and get back to work so we can pay bills.

What a fun fall break! I'm sorry too that we never got to meet up. I didn't make it to the RS meeting last night because I had 2 meetings after church and wasn't home until 6 so I was so tired... lame, I know. And what an awesome mom you are for creating so many fun memories for your kids. You're a great mom example to me;)
